Lately, Iโ€™ve been reflecting on my relationship with food, not just whatโ€™s on my plate, but how it affects my body, my emotions, and even my faith journey. Iโ€™ve slowly transitioned into what many call a flexitarian diet. That means mostly plant-based meals, but with the occasional inclusion of meat. And honestly? Itโ€™s been one of the most balanced decisions Iโ€™ve made.

For the longest time, I thought going all plant-based was the only โ€œhealthyโ€ way. But Iโ€™ve learned that flexibility is not failure. In fact, embracing a mix of nutrient-rich vegetables, fruits, legumes, grains and clean, ethically sourced meat has helped me feel more nourished, inside and out.

My skin? Itโ€™s clearer and calmer. Without the heaviness of constant meat intake, Iโ€™ve noticed a glow returning. My gut feels more at ease too, less bloating, better digestion. Itโ€™s like my body is finally getting the rest and fuel it needs at the same time.

But itโ€™s not just physical. Emotionally and mentally, I feel more grounded. Thereโ€™s something about eating from the earth, in its variety and simplicity, that brings a kind of peace. Iโ€™ve found myself more focused during the day, less anxious, and more grateful at mealtimes. Food has become a practice of presence.

And letโ€™s not forget, our bodies were made by a wise and intentional Creator. It makes sense that the food we eat should support that divine design. The occasional inclusion of meat provides essential nutrients like iron, B12, and quality protein, all of which are especially helpful when youโ€™re active or healing.

For me, this way of eating is a reflection of stewardship. Itโ€™s caring for my body as a sacred gift, not a burden. Itโ€™s making food choices that honor how I want to feel, joyful, energized, and whole.

So hereโ€™s to flexible eating, thoughtful living, and becoming more attuned to what nourishes you, body, mind, and spirit.
